Community: Activision boss makes USD20 million from shares

Ellie Gibson from Eurogamer writes

"Activision Blizzard boss Bobby Kotick has made a mint from the success of Modern Warfare 2 - and not just because every person in the world has bought a copy.

The bubbly brunette sold 2 million of his Activision shares between 9th and 11th November, according to

The shares were sold at a cost of around $11.50 each and as a result Kotick hauled in nearly $20.2 million. That's over £12 million / €13.5 million in real money.

Kotick has hung on to an additional 3 million shares which are currently worth over $35 million. Well, good to have something in reserve for a rainy day. Or Modern Warfare 3."

I bet the guy also got himself a free copy of MW2 saving himself another $55 and is planning on buying back those shares at a lower price ready for MW3
